Game 5 - Long Island Astros 1 Chesapeake Tides (Maryland) 0

The Astros move into the winners bracket and run their record to 3-2 while defeating the Tides behind a brilliant pitching performance by PAT MARTINUCCI. Pat held the Tides to 3 hits while protecting a 1-0 lead in a masterful shutout performance!!!!! The Astros played flawless defense behind their ace and added timely hitting, if not for the defense of the Tides centerfielder who threw out 2 runners at the plate the Astros could have stretched out to a larger lead. A game we will all remember for a very long time!

Game 7 - St. Hughs Saints (New York) 15 Long Island Astros 5

Believe it or not the Astros did hold a 5-2 lead in the 3rd inning before completely falling apart behind their crafty pitcher, Brent Williams. While the Astros saw their bid for a 3rd place finish slip through their hands we still finished 4th and should be proud of the effort put forth by our ballplayers.
