Games #11 & #12 - Sunday 5/16/04
Long Island Astros vs Kings Park Rangers @ CY Donnelly/Parkview
Game #1 Rangers 10 Astros 0
Well, the Astros offered little resistance as all we could muster on the offense was a single and 4 walks in the opener versus this tough Ranger squad. Matt Lynn kept us in the game as best he could by surrendering 4 runs in his 5 innings of work, overall a very very nice performance! The Astros actually played very well here despite the score, with a bit of offense we would have made it a closer ballgame.

Game #2 Rangers 10 Astros 9
The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat!! The Astros do deserve alot of credit here as we rallied from a 6-0 deficit to close it to 6-5, in the 7th inning we took a 9-7 lead only to surrender 3 runs to the Rangers in the bottom half of the 7th to lose a 10-9 decision. TJ Arsenault pitched a commendable game and also singled while driving home 2 & scoring 2 runs as the Astros couldn't make all the plays behind him and let too many offensive opportunities slip by. Jonathon Combs singled (1 RBI), Daniel Dallal singled (2 RBI's), Ryan Rusoff singled home a run, Mike Sausto ripped a triple while David Bernardi boomed a double and Dan McEnery singled as well. Matt Lynn also had an RBI walking with the bases loaded.
